Purple Christmas lights strings are a favorite every October for Halloween party decorating. Mix them with strings of orange and green lights for a welcoming October 31 display. For indoor fun, wrap lights in sheer purple or black organza and outline windows and doors. Keep in mind that these incandescent lights do warm up under operation so have common sense when using them around heat-sensitive surfaces.
